DiaVit project is co-financed by The Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
The main objective of the DiaVit project is the development of a non-invasive blood glucose self-monitoring device. Our goal is to improve the lives of diabetic patients worldwide by simplifying the way they measure blood glucose levels and monitor the disease.
Dia-Vit Tracker is our Proof of Concept wearable device developed to showcase our technology. It uses our proprietary non-invasive technology to measure blood glucose without the need for finger pricking. We combine patented multi-spectroscopic sensor technology with the convenience of portable device (wrist worn, finger clip, embedded into a mobile phone) to enable individuals gain a deeper understanding of their blood glucose and measure the effectiveness of their dietary planning, exercise and medication. Our development is currently focused on improving measurement accuracy and developing the first real-life portable device.
Dia-Vit cutting-edge technology uses multiple light wavelengths to measure several blood parameters. Sophisticated algorithm combines these parameters to detect current blood glucose level in seconds.
Current optical sensor is approximately 10 x 5 x 2 mm in size and it can be embedded in any wearable, portable or other device.
The optical sensor is developed and manufactured by one of world’s leading manufacturers
of opto-electronic semiconductors.
